Oregon Employers: Required SB 519 Notice (Mandatory Meeting Ban) Poster Available

February, 2010

Oregon SB 519, which became effective January 1, 2010, prohibits employers from disciplining any employee who refuses to participate in a communications concerning the employer's opinions on religious or political matters - including labor unions. SB 519 also requires ALL Oregon employers to post a notice informing employees of their rights under the new law.

Although this is a required posting, the Oregon Bureau of Labor & Industries (BOLI) has chosen not to publish an SB 519 notice. To help you comply with this new law, we've created a notice for you.

Download a complimentary SB 519 poster in both English and Spanish.

We recommend that you post the notice wherever you typically place your employment law posters.
