OFCCP Posts New Self-Identification Forms in English and Spanish

April, 2014

If you’ve been following our alerts, you know that the OFCCP finalized new rules for federal contractors and subcontractors regarding their recruitment and hiring goals for individuals with disabilities on September 24, 2013. These rules recently went into effect on March 24, 2014.

One of the changes requires federal contractors to invite applicants to self-identify as individuals with disabilities. Contractors are also required to invite all employees to self-identify every five years. Contractors are required to use forms provided by OFCCP, and OFCCP just posted the English and Spanish version of the forms in a Word document on its website. Please remember that, even though OFCCP has now posted these forms in an editable Word document, contractors are not allowed to change the language on the forms.
