Department of Labor Issues Two Updated Posters

The Department of Labor (DOL) recently revised two posters that are mandatory for the vast majority of employers to post: the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) poster and the Employee Polygraph Protection Act (EPPA) poster.

It is recommended that you download these posters and post immediately over the existing posters you have.

Both revised posters remove any references to the maximum amount of civil penalties for a violation, instead just saying that civil penalties may be assessed for violations. The new FLSA poster also adds some additional information about the right that nursing mothers have to additional break time to express breast milk. Both of the revised posters are required to be posted as of August 1, 2016.
