Washington Sick Leave Rules in Effect – Is Your Policy Compliant?

On January 1, 2018, the new Washington Sick Leave law went into effect. If you have employees who perform work in Washington, you’re going to need to make sure your paid sick leave policies comply with the law. If you haven’t already had your sick leave policy reviewed – or your policy is in compliance with Oregon or California law – you should let us know so we can review your policy for compliance with Washington law.

Additionally, we have created a few samples (here, here and here) for you to take a look at. There are many different options an employer has for providing sick leave, so these sample policies are just a few different ways of doing it.
