The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Safer Federal Workforce Task Force recently published template religious accommodation request forms to help employers properly address and document requests for religious accommodations related to COVID-19 vaccine mandates.
Cascade has modified both of these forms to be more generally applicable to any employer that has or may have a vaccine mandate in place. Members of Cascade can find the form here and is provided as an alternative to the form published by the Oregon Health Authority.
As a reminder, on September 9th, President Biden announced an action plan that will require all private sector employers with 100 or more employees to either mandate COVID-19 vaccines for all employees or require weekly COVID-19 testing. The Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) rules which would implement this requirement have yet to be published. Once published, Cascade will provide more information.
Additionally, by December 8, 2021 many federal contractors must ensure that all covered contractor employees are fully vaccinated for COVID-19, unless the employee is legally entitled to an accommodation.
