Yesterday, November 23rd, the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) announced effective immediately that masks are no longer required in crowded outdoor settings. This is due to the decreased spread of COVID-19.
However, masks are still strongly recommended for higher risk individuals, such as the elderly, immunocompromised, or unvaccinated. Masks are also recommended for individuals who are in crowded, outdoor settings for an extended period of time.
With this outdoor mask mandate lifted, employers can decide whether or not to require masks for employees who are working outside. It is important to note that masks are still required for all indoor settings.
