Every employee termination carries inherent risk. This session equips participants with the knowledge and skills to navigate the termination process effectively, minimizing potential liabilities.

Key Learning Objectives:

  • Identifying High-Risk Terminations: Learn the red flags that signal increased risk, including poor documentation, supervisor missteps and timing traps.
  • Mitigating Legal Risks: Understand the most common post-employment claims arising from terminations and how to employ sound practices including proper investigations, defensible documentation, supervisor training and a thorough review of situations before decisions are made.
